Why do we all want to wait until a Monday to start a new eating plan? Or January? Anyway, I obeyed the cliche.
My eating for Day 1:
Breakfast: One scrambled egg. One frozen banana blended in the NutriBullet. 1/3 cup of Kind Granola on top. (I crave sweets first thing in the morning so the banana/granola made me feel like I was splurging.) Black coffee.

Lunch (and Dinner): 1 cup of Leftover turkey chili. 5 saltines, 1 tablespoon sour cream, 1 serving cheddar cheese. Banana. (We repeated chili for dinner as we are trying to be very budget friendly and empty our refrigerator.)
Snack: One serving cinnamon applesauce. 6 almonds grated on top of applesauce.
Water: 100 ounces of water.
Activity: ~6400 steps and 10 flights of stairs. I’m still recovering from surgery so I’m just walking back and forth to the restroom and other necessities.
How I feel: I’m itching to actually be able to exercise again. I’ve found myself hungry as the day ended and I think it is simply boredom. I’ve mostly sat on the couch for a week so I’m feeling stir crazy.
