Doing the hard thing. Day 18

I took all five of The Crazies grocery shopping today. Think about this for a second. I loaded five kids (ages from 9 down to 2…) into our suburban. Alone. We did couponing at one grocery store and regular groceries at Walmart. Alone. 

All knowing and wise. Day 17.

Darkness of loss.  Uncertainty of a sudden, traumatic medical situation. Unexpected but impending financial ruin. 

Glasses and reality. Day 16

A couple of weeks ago, my youngest son (2.5 years old) suddenly began having issues with his eyes crossing. After a trip to the pediatrician and the ophthalmologist, the verdict was in. 

Rest. Day 14.

My body was screaming for rest today so I obliged. Here’s the rundown of my food diary. (I do daily video diaries on my Facebook page. Come join me!)

Day 13.

I finally paid the piper for the bad day in which I ate a slice of pizza and four pieces of chocolate. I gained 1.5 lbs over that fiasco. I’m moving on. 

Day 12.

I had an AWESOME day today and that was needed after the horrible day yesterday. I’m gonna spend the weekend doing house projects so all I’m gonna blog is details of each day. 

The forbidden fruit. Day 11.

I literally have forbidden fruit in my home.

That special child. Day 10.

I have a special child. He’s been special since before he was even born. He was the one who decided to start labor at 35 weeks 6 days. He was the one who decided to have respiratory distress. He was the one who decided to stay in the NICU for 5 days. He’s the one who has severe eczema.

The mess I hide. Day 9.

Ok. Let’s be real with each other. Where’s the room or closet where you shove all your clutter before company comes over??

Shoveling it. Day 8.

“It’s gonna snow,” they said. “It’ll be fun,” they said.
